e-Learning for Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery

Updated 11 December 2010 by Jim Fairley, Chairman, e-Learning Group, ENT UK Education and Training Committee

e-Learning Partners

ENT UK have partnered with other organizations to provide e-Learning content.

The Otorhinolaryngologist (Rila Publications)

The Otorhinolaryngologist is a peer reviewed Journal for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in ENT. The content of the publication covers a range of CPD related topics including Clinical reviews, Operative techniques, Case reports and a Trainees section. Online CPD Assessments are accredited by ENT-UK for the purposes of providing ENT specialists with online e-Learning CPD. All grades and subspeciality interests should find useful material to help with evidence for appraisal and revalidation. The costs are very reasonable and discounted for ENT UK members.

Doctors.net.uk

Doctors.net.uk is the UK's largest professional medical network with over 180,000 members. Open to all GMC registered doctors, and medical students, it is free to join.

Doctors.net.uk provide their members with online educational modules and a Continuing Professional Development tracker to help with appraisal and revalidation.

ENT UK's e-Learning group provide peer review and content approval for educational modules produced by doctors.net.uk. This CPD-approved e-Learning is available free of charge to members of doctors.net.uk. Current live ENT UK approved modules include:

e-Learning by Survey Participation

ENT UK Expert Panel

Expert Panellist are current members of ENT UK who contribute to our Specialty knowledge base and earn CPD credits by participating in approved surveys. Authors of questionnaires and surveys who wish to circulate the ENT UK membership must seek approval from the ENT UK Survey Guardian. The Survey Guardian ensures that only surveys which meet quality standards are circulated. Poor quality questionnaires masquerading as research are not tolerated. Only current members of ENT-UK are eligible to join the Expert Panel.

If you would like to join the Expert Panel, please email the Survey Guardian surveys@entuk.org

eLefENT

Note: The lead for this project is Victoria Ward.
